The Nirma QuizB is a general knowledge based online quiz to be held on January 22, 2012. The format of the QuizB is that the top-6 teams from the Online Round qualify to fight it out in the On-Campus Finale at the Nirma Campus (scheduled in February, 2012).

An opportunity for the top 6 teams to experience life at a premier B-school for the duration of the quiz. The expenses for the same would be borne by the Institute.

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER

• The registrations for the quiz are open till Tuesday, 10 January 2012.
• The online quiz would be held on Sunday, 22 January 2012 between 3.00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• The results for the online quiz would be declared on January 24, 2012 on the website by late evening.

'Nirma-QuizB' is a quiz conducted by India’s premier business school ‘Institute of Management, Nirma University’ for MBA aspirants. This Nirma-QuizB is open for all MBA aspirants, this includes students who are currently pursuing their undergraduate degrees or those who have passed their graduation but have appeared for CAT 2011. The online quiz would be conducted on 22 January 2012 between 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The registrations for the quiz are open till January 10, 2012. There will be a total of 20 questions which have to be answered within 30 minutes. The quiz would include questions about general awareness, current affairs, the world of business, lateral thinking etc. There would be inbuilt tie breakers in case of multiple teams on the same points. There will be no negative marking in the quiz.

The Nirma-QuizB will be conducted in two phases:
a) Preliminary Online Quiz: The online quiz would be conducted on 22 January 2012 between 3.00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The registrations for the quiz are open till January 10, 2012. There will be a total of 20 questions which have to be answered within 30 minutes. The quiz would include questions about general awareness, current affairs, the world of business, lateral thinking etc. There would be inbuilt tie breakers in case of multiple teams on the same points. There will be no negative marking in the quiz.

b) On Campus Final: The top 6 teams of the online quiz will get an opportunity to compete on stage at the ‘Institute of Management, Nirma University’ to be called the winner of ‘Nirma-QuizB’. All the teams will get exciting prizes with lots of goodies and an experience of a lifetime.

The top 6 teams of the online quiz would win themselves handsome prizes but also get an opportunity to compete on stage at the ‘Institute of Management, Nirma University’ to be crowned as the winner of 'Nirma-QuizB' and in the process winning themselves handsome prizes and an experience of a lifetime.

• Participation in ‘Nirma-QuizB’ is FREE, there is no entry fee being charged. A team just has to register on the website.
• Participants have to register themselves in teams of 2 representing the same Institute/organization.
• Only students currently pursuing their undergraduate degrees or those who have appeared for CAT 2011 are eligible to participate in the quiz.

• You have to create a login ID an password which would be used to login on the website on the day of the quiz.
• Last day for registrations is Thursday, 10 January 2012, 11:59 p.m.
• The quiz will be held on Sunday 22 January 2012 between 3.00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
• The top 6 teams of the online quiz will get an opportunity to visit Institute of Management, Nirma University for the final round of QuizB.
• The expenses in incurred during travel (train sleeper) along with boarding and lodging would be taken care by the Institute.
• Any student if found using unfair means (using proxies or dummies) will be disqualified right away. No further discussions in this regard will be entertained.
• In order to claim the prize you will have to show a photo id proof.
• ‘Nirma-QuizB’ is the property and initiative of Institute of Management, Nirma University.
• IMNU reserves the right to use the details of the participants in the promotional activities.
• IMNU may at any time and for any reason: (a) disqualify a participant from the competition at their absolute discretion if such disqualification is warranted; or (b) discontinue the quiz by posting a notice to that effect on the Website www.imnu.ac.in
• The decision of the judges would be final and binding. No communication will be entered into with any person in relation to the evaluation. Any dispute arising out of or in relation to this competition shall be governed by the laws of India and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts at Ahmedabad.
• ‘Nirma-QuizB’ and IMNU may change the Terms and Conditions of participation, prizes at any time without specific notice. The amended Terms and Conditions of Entry will be effective immediately upon being posted on the Website. Important changes to the Terms and Conditions may be highlighted on the Website www.imnu.ac.in for your convenience; however, you acknowledge that it is your sole responsibility to regularly visit the Website to read any changes to the Terms and Conditions of Entry. The wait is finally over, Nirma-QuizB results are here.The following six teams have made it to the grand finale.
The top six teams are mentioned in random order. The details regarding the next round would be
mailed to the teams. In case a team is not able to make it to the finals for any reason, a team would be called from the
waiting list from the teams scoring the next highest points in the quiz.
