| LIVING LIFE TO THE FULLEST
The two years that students spend in the campus are designed to be the most fulfilling years in their life. Life at the Institute is vibrant and exciting, studded with events and celebrations that enrich the students intellectually, transforming them into more complete individuals.
Fun-filled events, excursions, welcome ceremonies, farewell parties, get-togethers... students here work hard and party hard. Celebration of festivals such as Diwali, Navratri and Makar Sankranti add to bonhomie and camaradarie. The Institute also organizes annual cocurricular events, apart from the regular events and the events organized by the students' clubs.
Today's budding managers must consider the world as their workplace. Keeping this in view, the Institute has been organizing international conferences since 1998 to give its faculty and students an opportunity to interact with personalities and professionals of repute from all over the world.
The Institute organized Nirma international conference of Management (NICOM) 2005, with the theme 'Achieving Competitive Advantage through People : An Agenda for the 21st Century', in January 2005. The conference helped students to develop a deeper appreciation of how organizations were gaining competitive edge.
NICOM 2006, with the theme 'Managing Finance & Growth : Emerging Issues and Challenges', is scheduled during January 2-4, 2006.
Conclaves
The corporate gurus address the students to initiate them into the emergent mantras of the management world. The two day sessions have been christened “Conclaves”, and are scheduled four times a year. Eminent professionals are invited to share their thoughts and experiences about the buzzing strategies and concepts. It is an interface with the reality that helps students to cope with , and stay ahead of change.
Every year, conclaves are held in the disciplines of Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Family Business and Information Technology.
Perspective
The Institute organizes an academic conference for the blossoming managers every year, named 'Perspective'. The conference deals with 'perceiving what is beyond the common sight'. Reputed business schools are invited to participate in this conference. Shared learning is enhanced through activities such as paper presentations, business plan contests, business quizzes, book reviews, business cartoon contests and panel discussions.
Clubs@Institute
As budding managers, the students at the Institute understand that learning is a continuous process. In order to keep up with the latest trends in diverse fields, and to study and understand the best practices in various companies, the students have organized clubs.
